Congratulations to Madrid-Waddington 9th grader, Warren Briggs, who raced in the Empire State Games on February 1, 2025  for  the  luge competition and won the Gold medal in the Youth A category with the fastest overall time out of all competitors.  His fastest speed down the track was 51mph. This is Warren’s 2nd year on the Luge Development Team. He will travel later this month for 2 weeks of training in Park City, Utah, leading up to the Youth National competition March 7-8.
